The airport and the station are close, but between a flight and a train even a few kilometres count, especially with luggage and children. Napoli Centrale faces Piazza Garibaldi, a busy area with reserved lanes and limited stopping space. That is why the exact pick-up or drop-off point is agreed in advance. With big suitcases, aim to reach the station a little ahead of your train.
Indicative timing
It is about 6 km, usually 15–30 minutes (indicative, varies with traffic and season). At rush hour city traffic can stretch the ride. With a booked train, it is best to set the pick-up with a comfortable margin: we work out the best time together before confirming.
Who books it
People landing and continuing by high-speed train to Rome or the north, train passengers catching a flight, families with buggies, business travellers on tight schedules, and late arrivals who prefer a pre-booked night transfer.

When a private car makes sense
If you travel light, there are public links between the airport and the station too. A private transfer becomes useful with family, lots of luggage, a train leaving soon after landing, or in the evening, when you prefer to know who is waiting for you. You can also book a single ride that, after the station, continues to your hotel or to the port.
